Claire will be in Toronto May 13 to 19 to take part in the Ontario Library Association's Forest of Reading celebrations. She'll be at the Toronto Public Library's Don Mills Branch Monday morning and at the Centennial Branch Monday afternoon. On Wednesday, she'll join other authors and thousands of kids at Harbourfront to celebrate this year's Forest of Reading nominees. Claire's book, What a Waste: Where Does Garbage Go?, is a nominee in the Silver Birch non-fiction category.
And while you're here, take a sneak peek at the cover of Claire's next book. The frozen places of the world are thawing as Earth's climate warms, and lost evidence of the past is being revealed -- in some cases, for the first time in tens of thousands of years. To get the scoop, watch for Out of the Ice: How Climate Change Is Revealing the Past -- due out in September from Kids Can Press.
